National Nutrition Month 2017 in NJ

Nutrition Month 2017National Nutrition Month® officially kicks off TODAY!  All March long, we’ll be celebrating nutrition and healthy lifestyles.  Most importantly, we’ll be chatting how Registered Dietitian Nutritionists play a key role in helping you and your significant other have happy, healthy lifestyles together!

NJ already got the Nutrition Month 2017 party started! The NJ Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics has a ton of exciting happenings going on for National Nutrition Month® – and beyond!  For starters, if you pop over to any of the NJAND social media feeds, including Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, you’ll see we’ve been celebrating since February.  This year, NJAND turns 85, and to showcase all the amazing work RDNs in NJ are doing, they are promoting 85 dietitians over the next 85 days.  Make sure to follow to see if you know any of my incredible colleagues!

During the month of March, MEND will be running a Healthy Pantries, Healthy Patrons Food Drive to collect healthy and nutritious foods to stock their pantries. Volunteers are needed throughout the month of March to aid with the food drive at various MEND pantry locations. Time and locations will vary and can be scheduled by reaching out to Sharon Reilly-Tobin, MEND Coordinator at 908-497-4012.
