This past weekend I gave up sun at the Jersey Shore teaching SUP Yoga to travel out to Kansas City and take a deep dive into personal and professional development. If you follow me on social media, you may have seen me mention a mealtime solutions company called Wildtree. Over a year and a half ago, I was looking to add meal planning and prepping into my service offerings. Wildtree literally fell into my lap. I’ll chat more about Wildtree in a future post, but taking a chance on Wildtree is one of the best decisions I could have made for myself, my home life, and my business. The past weekend was literally a non-stop fire under my butt.
I recently had a patient come see me in my private practice who broke down into tears on my couch. Her boyfriend of over 10 years calls her negative names and makes her feel ashamed of the recent weight gain she’s experienced in the past few years due to stress. In addition to being frustrated with her weight, she now has uncontrolled diabetes and feels completely hopeless. It absolutely broke my heart to hear the things she told me.
